Working with Jack Morton Worldwide and Ogilvy PR, I worked as the Producer for the Sydney launch of Windows 10. Building a 40m marquee at Fleet Steps, Sydney, the venue held spectacular views of the Sydney Opera House and harbour, with an entrance designed around Windows 10's new desktop experience.
Over 400 guests were treated to a number of bespoke experiences which played on the features of Windows 10, including welcome screens which mentioned guests by name, live art drawn on Microsoft's new Surface by artist Anthony Lister, fashion demonstrations utilising web browser Edge by Miss Darlinghurst. Flight Facilities performed a three-hour DJ set with Microsoft's music app Cortana listening and displaying song titles on-screen, and a playlist of selected tracks sent to guests at the end of the night via music service Groove.
As Sydney was the first market to launch Windows 10 globally, content from the event was broadcast internationally, and kicked off the rest of the Windows 10 celebrations worldwide.
